Performance

April 2018:

Installed the Burger Tuning N55 Intake. It didn't add a lot of power but you can really hear the turbo now!

Installed the Burger Tuning JB4 Chip with Bluetooth and medal enclosure. This was super easy to install and added some noticeable power! Just on map 1 for now.

Update: After installing the P3 gauge, I followed this guide to not have JB4 issues.

April 2019:

Installed the BMW M Performance Exhaust with polished tips. Kinda scary chopping off your exhaust but well worth it for the added sound!

April 2019:

Installed the BMS Turbo Double Baffle Oil Catch Can Kit just for fun.

February 2020:

I got a shinny new set of BMW M Performance brakes in red! I will pair them with Powerstop Z26 Street Warrior pads and rotors.

I will pair them with PowerStop Z26 Street Warrior pads and rotors along with StopTech stainless steal brake lines. I am also going to do a full brake fluid flush with a pressure bleeder.

The fronts are in with new dust shields. The caliper is actually the same size but with different mounting points for the larger rotor. Old rotor was 340 x 30mm and the new one is 370 x 30mm.

The rears are in and I was able to reuse the dust shields. The caliper is a huge improvement in looks and performance going from a single piston to a dual. The old rotor was 330 x 20mm and the new one is 345 x 24mm.

Finally, I installed the StopTech stainless steel lines and flushed the brake fluid.

I took the car out for a test drive and bedded in the brakes. They look and perform amazing!

December 2020:

I decided to finally add some more power to the N55!

I got a Wagner Catted Downpipe, BMS Intercooler, and BMS Charge Pipe for a nice reliable increase in power.

Swapped out the downpipe and installed new OEM clamps on both ends. Also transferred the O2 sensor over.

Replaced the intercooler with this beefy Burger one. It came out easy and I didn't even need to take off the bumper.

Finally, swapped out the thin plastic stock chargepipe with the nice aluminum Burger pipe. Now I'm ready for more boost!

March 2021:

After driving the car with the new power mods and the BMS JB4 at Map 2, It didn't seem much faster than before. So I decided to switch over to a proper tune.

Exhaust Clip

I got the MHD Stage 2+ tune with WiFi flasher. This tune is a night and day difference! It feels a lot faster and hits 16-18 psi all the time. Definitely a lot more fun to drive now. It also sounds a lot better with the added exhaust burble feature. This should put me at a little over 400hp now.
